Hope for Every Child Amputee:
Sponsor a Child Today!
Hope for Every Child Amputee
Hope For Every Child Amputee is a sponsorship program in which sponsors can support a child amputee through Hope To Walk. As a child with a prosthetic leg grows, they require a new, properly fitted prosthetic approximately every one to two years. With sponsorship, the child receives a new prosthetic leg when needed at no cost for them or their family until they reach the age of 18.
How it Works
Hope to Walk identifies children in need of sponsorship through their work in developing countries. Children are matched to sponsors based on need and availability, and sponsors commit to an annual donation of $250 or a monthly donation of $21.
When the child requires a new prosthetic leg, they visit a Hope to Walk clinic or partner service provider. Thanks to their sponsor’s donation, that child will receive a new leg without any cost to the child or to their family!
As a sponsor, you'll receive occasional updates about your sponsored child. While direct communication isn’t always possible due to limited resources of the families and our commitment to protecting their privacy, communication will be thoughtfully facilitated by Hope to Walk.
Sponsors may sign up for the program by filling out the form at the bottom of this page and initiating their recurring donations through PayPal. Or if you prefer to set up recurring bank drafts, please email Katherine Johnston at katherine.johnson@hopetowalk.org. You will be contacted shortly after with information about your sponsored child!

Sponsor a Child Amputee
Use of Donor Funds
While every effort is made to ensure donor contributions directly support the sponsored child’s prosthetic needs, there may be circumstances where a child does not require a new prosthetic each year. In such cases, funds will be allocated to the area of greatest need within Hope to Walk, ensuring that all donations continue to support the organization’s mission and goals of providing life-changing mobility solutions to amputees in need.
