Student Launches Humanitarian Non-Profit

Michael Mabry helped launch and is the Chairman of a humanitarian non-profit called Hope to Walk.

There are over 35 million people in the world who need prosthetic devices but have no access due to costs and poverty. The lowest costs one can get a prosthetic leg for averages around $4,000-5,000, which is out of reach for most of the world. So we Hope To Walk is making prosthetic legs that are being available to men, women, and children regardless of cost. A new type of leg has been designed that can be made for 1/50th the cost of standard prosthetics and can be built anywhere.

Hope To Walk has begun in Honduras and the vision is to have Hope To Walk clinic hubs in countries all through Central America and eventually the world.
